They were a waste of money for me. I think I tried about 4 times. I didn't try pam because I really dislike the smell of it.

My husband bought these on Amazon. Not worth the money!!!!! I tried them, and even with spraying first, the egg yolks stuck!! And, they were a pain to get clean. They look great on TV; unfortunately, they don't work that way!

I put 6 eggs into a pan od cold water. Bring to a boil . Set tier for 8 minutes. Place pan under cold running water for a minute or two, Drain and shake pan around until eggs are all cracked. Shells come off easy. No mess with oiling those cups. I get perfect HB eggs every time.

My hard boiled eggs were too hard to peel (I only buy fresh local eggs so they never get old enough to peel effortlessly) so I have my hard boiled eggs made with these and its perfection! I spray them beforehand with PAM and they pop right out! Great invention!!
If you go online and search for American's Test kitchen's way to steam eggs (in a pan with not as much water as boiling and it takes 7 min.) you can get a standard time for cooking eggs to your likeing, and I have NEVER met an egg done this way that wouldn't peel
Steamed eggs or Instant Pot eggs are basically foolproof for hard boiled and easy to peel. We eat a lot of eggs!

Agree with @Sooner completely.
In fact, I ordered one of the many multi-piece plastic/silicone gadgets advertised on TV for making hard-cooked eggs and found it to be a real nuisance in terms of judging how long to cook the eggs, the tedious cleanup by hand required, etc., and then returned the gadget very quickly.
I steam eggs in a stainless steel steamer insert over a pan of boiling water for about 13 minutes (if making my usual dozen at a time) and plunge the eggs into a bowl of ice water, and then peel perfect eggs that are completely but not overly cooked.
The steamer insert, the pan and the bowl used for the ice water go into the dishwasher--no handwashing required.
I'll never do it another way again.
I used to boil eggs directly in the water, but those usually wound up with a darkened ring around the yolk or cracked shells with egg white that had escaped while boiling.
I can't speak to how well the gadgets work for poached eggs, but I don't want those anyway.

I have these and I mix in a little onion, cheese and pepper to make more of an omelette.
