I paid $4.47 for large yesterday.  I bought three dozen.  I am baking.

I normally get free eggs from my neighbor from his father's farm, but I ran out.

Even though they are more expensive than usual, they are still a good bargain compared to other types of protein.

As soon as this bird flu gets under control, the prices should come down.

Frozen veggies need to come down too.

I saw an 18 pack of eggs today for $7.99.  I wouldn't pay that price even if

I was a millionaire.

Went to our local Italian specialty store Monday (owned since 1917 by the same family, one family member currently our local Senator) and eggs were $7.99 a dozen!!! I went to Giant Eagle and bought TWO dozen of Eggland's Best for $3.59 a dozen. Not sure what the heck is going on with the prices.Yikes!

Today WM's eggs are $8 a dozen. That's ridiculous.Woman Frustrated  It's the highest I've seen so far. I'm just not going to buy any eggs until the price comes down.

@SoCal Bred- I'm in So Cal also.  Smart & Final on their website has Eggland's Best (not cage free) 12 ct. for $5.49.  Cage free is $5.69.  Tried to get a  couple dozen but they didn't have any, not even a shelf tag.  Everyone probably bought them as that is the cheapest price I've seen around here.  The markets are between $6.50 to $8.00 and that's for store brand.  I'll try again tomorrow.  Bird flu needs to be erradicated soon, as this is getting ridiculous.  Eggs are higher priced then some meat.  I wonder when the "chicks" will be old enough to lay eggs, maybe we'll see some relief.

Bird flu is only going to spread, I’m afraid.
