We all like what we like.

My dad & brother used hot sauce on eggs. Not for me.

I’ve never heard nor do I know anyone who puts jelly on a sausage biscuit. Doesn’t sound appealing to me.

Love my French toast with powdered sugar, syrup, & butter but butter only on my pancakes.

Like sweet pickle relish in my tuna salad.

My sister & I use peanut butter as a dip for potato chips.

My brother thinks   soup and Polish   food is disgusting.

I think my brother is adopted.

I like ketchup on turkey stuffing and on eggplant.  My brother used to slather ketchup on everything; didn't matter what was served.  He and I used to dip bread in ketchup for lunch when we were kids.  I always put ketchup on my omlette.  But I like mayo on fried egg sandwiches.

@Carmie, your aunt wasn't that far off.   Years ago when I would actually make sauce from scratch (the old world type that cooks overnite)  I'd add some grape jelly to the seasoning in place of sugar.

@eddyandme   In my father's Italian family, sugar in homemade tomato sauce is gross too.  We just don't do that. My mother's German family puts sugar or butter on everything.

When we were little, my maternal grandmother would first butter the bread before she made sandwiches. We wouldn't eat them.  Ham and cheese with mustard is good.  Ham and cheese on buttered bread with mustard is gross, IMO.

It's interesting what people eat.  Different tastes for everyone.

Lots of soy sauce on scrambled eggs.

@Carmie. my mother (of Russian decent) who grew up on a farm used to butter our bread before making the sandwiches.  I still do!  In fact, imho, the best way to have a genoa salami sandwich  is on just plain,  buttered dark bread - yummmm!

Yes, it's funny how we all enjoy different things!

I don't think either are strange (or whatever word your brother used).  I wouldn't, personally, do either one but I do use Tobasco Hot Sauce on my eggs.  Growing up I put ketchup on eggs but haven't done that in many years.  However, I know lots of people, of all ages, who do.

We've had several threads over the years about weird food combinations that we eat that most probably wouldn't.  Those were always fun, and interesting, to read!

I don't use ketchup on eggs.  I have to have something like salsa or chili sauce, either Heinz or Bennetts.  I hate plain eggs but I like a loaded omelet once in while and I have to have something on them to disguise the eggy taste.
