Just saw part of the meatballs presentation on ITKWD - with the camera upthisclose on them. Just me personally, the cheese in the middle would not be a yummy selling point AT ALL. The whole inyourface presentation made me go yuuuck! instead of thinking they look tasty.

Cheese-stuffed meatballs isn't appetizing to me either.  Parmesan on top is good enough, thank you.  And that price ... $70!

I didn't see the QVC meatball presentation that you appear to be talking about, but I looked it up and saw that the brand is Mama Mancini, and I know it is sold at Costco in their refrigerated cases.

In fact, on my last visit to Costco, samples were being handed out, which is why I recognize the name.  I tried one, it tasted pretty good, and I  didn't notice any cheese component in it.  Seemed like a plain meatball in tomato sauce to me.

Perhaps the brand also sells the plain version, but not on QVC.

Frankly, adding cheese to meatballs seems superfluous to me, because you can always sprinkle some mozzarella or parmesan on top if you want cheese.

Edit------ I now see that QVC does sell the same brand of meatballs without cheese.  Sounds better to me.  But is TV a good place to buy food like this???.

@novamc1  After I saw a presentation of these Mama Mancini's on the q mid summer or so, I decided to try them - the hosts were RAVING about them.  (of course they were!)

I did order the  plain or regular version.  These things are as huge as your head!!!! and really not very tasty, unflavorful actually.  The sauce is watery with no taste also.

No kidding about them being huge - very wasteful in my opinion and because of this, you don't get many in each pack (there are 2pks) and they're all frozen together so not a good buy for just 2 people.

they looked awesome to me, but i have to say i'm sure all the food they sell in here is awesome, but its quite expensive!  too pricey for me.... i'd rather spend the money on something i'll have around for a long time.......... just saying
