I'd ask in the thread but I've found doing that is a good way to not get an answer. We have probably 4 different size pkgs in my market.

What Noodle bake?! 😲 That sent me to the search function lol.
@depglassI'm guessing that it's a 12-oz pkg. I say that because I buy the Light 'n Fluffy brand for my recipes and they only come in that size bag. The other brands in our stores are 12 oz pkgs, too.
And thanks, @ECBG. DH will love this!
@Moonlady Did you get the recipe Sweetie?
Noodle Bake
1 ½ lbs. high quality ground beef
1 ½ tsp garlic
2 14.5 oz cans tomato sauce
1 pkg medium egg noodles
1 Tbsp butter, plus 2 Tbsp.
1 16 oz sour cream
1 lg softened cream cheese
Optional: 2 Tbsp. chives
In large skillet, brown and well drain ground beef.
Add tomato sauce, and garlic and simmer about 20 minutes .
Butter 3 qt casserole and place a side.
In bowl, mix sour cream and softened cream cheese.
(I use my hand mixer).
Hand stir chives in.
Cook egg noodles aldente with oil in the water to prevent clumping.
Drain and toss lightly with 2 tbsp butter.
In buttered 3 qt casserole layer:
1/2 of the noodles
1/2 of the cheese mixture
1/2 of the meat mixture.
Repeat layers in same order.
Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 min. Cheese may be covered to prevent browning.
May be made a day ahead, refrigerated and cooked for 1 hour.

@ECBGYes, I searched for the recipe before you posted it here (I think it was in "cold weather dishes). Thank you! I'm not the meat eater in the house, but my husband will LOVE this.
Now I'm going to check out the pic...

@Moonlady Take some of the ingredients aside (if you're allowed sour cream) mand make yours with sauteed veggies in place of the ground beef, using the sour cream and noodles).

Thank you, ECBG. I did shopping this morning and bought a 16 oz. just in case. I can use 3/4 of that bag and be just fine. I bookmark recipes that I'm going to try, this one is for tomorrow. The search function works well on the new board for those that didn't read the original post.
