I accidentally pushed a plate off my countertop into the sink, and it broke.

I was surprised since I've never even had one chip. And of course it just

happened to be one of my favorite colors.

I have a complete 12 piece set of Fiestaware, amonglarge bowls and tea cups, etc.. Been using it for years and years and never ever thought of it as "heavy". Really? Kind of an odd remark. Woman Frustrated Yes, they are very durable. I'm not really careful with mine and I never so much have chipped or cracked them.

@ID2 It's not an odd remark. I've read many comments about its weight, mostly from uses who like it regardless.

I do prefer dishes that are not too heavy.

@Kachina624

If hers was packed like my order it must have had 5" of bubble wrap around each piece with inner part of styrofoam wrapping.

Or perhaps the box was "opened/crushed" in area where plates weren't.

I don't know, but it certainly comes packed beautifully!  Yes, I agree the plates are heavy but they are durable.

Re: Durability of Fiestaware🙂

Any cabinets which pull away from the wall are either not properly installed--or, like many of today's wood products, they're *cheap*. Why? Newsflash: kitchen cabinets are meant to hold dishes and an assortment of dinnerware--LOTS of them.

Fiestaware is quality merchandise.

Re: Durability of Fiestaware🙂

I love mine.  I have an assortment of colors, the table is set very colorful.  Not too heavy for me.  Mine are kept in a floor to ceiling pantry for dishware and bakeware, so no worry of tumbling over.  Lead free and made in the US of A.

I am missing 2 luncheon plates.  No idea what happened to them.  They couldn't have broke.  I am baffled!

Re: Durability of Fiestaware🙂

Watching the news and someone had a ring camera recorded a UPS driver throwing a box on her front step, it was a cell phone, she opened it up & the corner was cracked. It could be the way it was packed or the mail being rough with boxes.
