I ordered several fiesta pieces for DIL for christmas and then shipped to her.
She just told me UPS delivered box today -- it was crushed/opened in parts yet the pieces were wrapped so well they were fine!
So much for the word "fragile". Fiesta is solid as a rock...not like other brands!

I've always liked Fiesta but it's so heavy, I won't buy any piece larger than a coffee mug. I can understand why it didn't break.

That's good to know. I ordered some oversize Pfalzgraff mugs a few years ago - they survived shipping but all but one had chipped by the end of the year - and they were hand washed.

I have a complete 12 piece set of Fiestaware, amonglarge bowls and tea cups, etc.. Been using it for years and years and never ever thought of it as "heavy". Really? Kind of an odd remark.
Yes, they are very durable. I'm not really careful with mine and I never so much have chipped or cracked them.

Of course they are heavy, so heavy they pulled my DIL's cupboard away from the wall. I wouldn't have them, there are so many good company's that make a thin product, that is durable for using everyday. Fiesta ware are clunkers.

I love my Fiestware! My daughter thinks I have an addiction. I live close enough to their factory in WV that I go when they have their tent sales. My collection grows every time I go.

Fiesta Fan here. Grandson asked for his own color - drove him to Fiesta store and he selected a turquoise set. Love the durability. Don't consider it heavy.

I have a place setting of 16 Fiestaware and I find them very durable and not one of them has chipped. They are close to 16 years old. Now I did not order any of them online to be shipped but my lenox china was all sent online and I was fortunate as none of them broke.
Having said all of that I ordered an 8 piece place setting of a dish set from Bed, Bath, and Beyond and all but one large dish was destroyed. I could not believe they literally put one box inside another without any protection and just shipped it. The outside box arrived damaged too.

I got a mix of colors for my table about 15 years ago thinking that when one breaks I would get to choose a new color.
Still waiting. Doing my best to destroy what I have, to no avail.

@buffieg Yep, that warehouse in WV is right across the Ohio River from east Liverpool OH where my fam moved to in 1967. It is literally everything Fiesta in that area.
SO many folks collect Fiesta it is unbelievable. Enjoy every piece you find, buy, pick up. Some time one summer you should go to the Pottery Fest in East Liverpool and see all the Fiesta, a very fun time.
And well, of course we have a full set of the Rose Fiesta along with some of the chartreuse to blend in perfectly!
