Does the lid on your slow cooker wobble?

I bought a new small slow cooker to use for making beans and the glass lid wobbles quite a bit.  Is this the way they come now?  LOL!!!

I don't know if I should keep it, try it, or just return for a replacement!

@Sooner - My OLD, very used one has always had a wobbly lid. It's not that bad, and it never bothers me. It almost always stops.  Smiley Happy

My old large slow cookers has    never wobbled.  Would assume steam buildup causes yours to do that.  My glass lid is quite heavy - do you think it's doing harm or it's just annoying?

Can't imagine it's bad as in defective as it's just a cover - lid.

The lid on my slow cooker does not wobble.

Gosh yes! I think the steam builds up and it sometimes sounds like it is ready for lift-off!

Lids shouldn't wobble.  I'd exchange it.

Ours does.  After it gets going it rattles.  It's a bit annoying but doesn't bother me.  DH on the other hand, will find a heavier lid and put it on top of the slow cooker lid. It stops the rattling.

When I put the lid in place there is just the slightest slde room; other than that, no.

@fthunt Not steam!  It's never been cooked in--out of the box.  I'm thinking I need to return it and get another one.  Steam wouldn't stay in this one I think.  It wobbles badly so I guess the crockery piece is not even.

Things just aren't well made so many times now.  Shame.  Thanks for replying however!

Re: Does the lid on your slow cooker wobble?

My slow cooker lid doesn't have a tight fit.  When it gets going the lid spits and emits some steam.  It does not affect the finished product.  I sometimes throw a dish towel over it so it doesn't spatter all around the slow cooker.
