Monkeetoes,I use it for things I want " crisp" like frozen battered shrimp and fish and fries, tots, things that might be fried, as well as chicken thighs and frozen burgers, hot dogs, melted open face cheese sandwiches...can't even tell you when the last time I used my broiler was! It does a great job on steaks, too...traditional baking, not so much, but the Breville has convection, so it's a natural for that type of stuff...
