Re: Does anyone else feel that their grocery list is getting more expensive?

I think what we are seeing is the effect of drought and it can't be fixed anytime soon. It occurred to me when I was in the grocery this week I can't even remember the last time  I saw a California produce commercial..... I wonder if Washington State will even have any apples this year let alone advertise.

Re: Does anyone else feel that their grocery list is getting more expensive?

My supermarket has lots of sales, so I buy multiples when things are on sale.  Every so often, they sell my coffee for about $3.50 for 12 ounces, and I stock up.  When something's 2 for 1, I get a bunch, and so on for most of what I buy.  I always get day-old bread when they have what I like.  It tastes just as good as the regular bread they're selling.  I'd like to learn to make ciabatta rolls at home.
