Sorry, I threw you off with the wrong term. I grew up calling ranges either a stove or oven.

@GingerPeach, Amazon has some 24 inch electric ovens. Maybe those brands are also sold elsewhere.

You are very kind to remind me.  Unfortunately, I not only have to make sure the width will work, but the height.  There is not only the oven, but a smaller oven below, making the total height a factor.  

All of that means that I'm still at the mercy of the cabinet configuration!

Either I have to spend big bucks to get new cabinets, or just live with my original oven.  I don't think it's worth it to try to do any "fill in" carpentry to match the 1970s cabinets I have to make a new oven look OK in the existing space. 

Eventually when I sell my house, I'm going to let the new owners figure it out.
