No honey used here; my system doesn't tolerate it.

I started using honey when I had Covid! Helps clear congestion without interferring with other meds!
I have lots of allergies and honey seems to help soothe and clear up your airway! Warm honey and lemon is good to soothe your throat and tummy!
Not bad in beverages or with butter on toast either!

I don't like honey or use it.

I use raw honey (for it's immune-boosting properties) in hot tea.

Sometimes I like to add it to some yougurt or tea. I find that when I get a sore throat it helps to take a spoonful to lighten the pain a bit.

I have been using honey to sweeten my morning and evening teas for many years. I use local honey mostly but for a treat I buy flavored honey from a nearby franchise store called "Sticky Situations". They have lots of different flavored honeys and it's fun to try different ones. Expensive compared to local honey I buy at Costco, but a nice treat. I also consume a teaspoon of local bee pollen every day which helps a lot with immunity and allergies.

I have a friend that has beehives. Depending on the time of year we get a light or dark honey. I use it to bake bread and other tasty things. I think I'll try the recipe listed here. Sounds great.

We put a little honey in baked beans and brush it on beef short ribs just before they come off of the grill.

@Iwantcoffee wrote:Yes, honey is good in tea or on a biscuit. I also make honey garlic crock pot chicken.
Add boneless skinless chiken thighs to bottom of crockpot. I spray the crock pot with non-stick spray.
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 Tablespoons minced garlic
1/2 tsp oregano
I cook 4 to 5 hours on high.
We have this with steamed broccoli, rice, and yum yum sauce.
I found this online but did not write down the source. I think she used chicken breast but I use thighs because to me they have more flavor and not has tough.
That looks too good!

I always have it in the pantry. I have a few recipes I use it in. I don't generally eat it on it's own although I've got nothing against it.
