It works wonders on coughs, colds.
Years ago, I had a very strong cold/cough. A couple of teaspoons of honey stopped my coughing, and when the cough returned, more honey stopped it.
So I carried a small jar of honey with me along with plastic spoons while on walks around the neighborhood.
The cold eventually subsided, thank goodness.
Anyway, yes I like honey and use it whenever I think about it which is right now.
Thank you for reminding me!
I have an unopened jar of honey........Many years ago I read that honey is anti microbial, anti bacterial, anti this and anti that. And it has a very, very, very long shelf life. Almost indefinite, as I recall.

@eddyandme, I got my bananas last week and now my favorite breakfast is bananas, sliced lengthwise and spread with a bit of peanut butter (I need the protein), sprinkled with granola, drizzled with honey. I'm really enjoying it, always trying to find something I want to eat for breakfast when my stomach usually doesn't want food. Thanks for the recommendation!

Not really, because so much of it is NOT pasteurized. I have no desire to die an early dearth.

No. It all has an aftertaste to me.

YES!! I get local honey from a friend. I use a teaspoon in my tea and in the summer I add it to iced tea that I make. Another novel but delicious way is this: if you like pizza with pepperoni try drizzling a bit of honey on top. It tempers the spicey pepperoni. Sounds weird but it is surprisingly delish!!

Love your name.
I always have cats and used to have a sweet Corgi.
In the spring I rescued a kitten who was pregnant with 7 babies. She and her, due to be born any minute, babies were being taken to a shelter to be euthanised.
We have her and one of her babies, the siblings were adopted by our other children and people we knew very well.
Thank You for rescuing animals![]()

We use it with peach jam plus some lemon juice to put on a peach pork loin roast.
We use honey in some homemade bread recipes.
We use it on toast for breakfast. Sometimes I eat a piece of toast with homemade peanut butter with a little honey on it.
DH likes to make honey butter.

Honey has nutrients that sugar lacks. Honey also lowers the blood sugar a little. But be it honey, sugar or fructose. It's a sweetener.
From the internet
"Honey's advantages over sugar include a slightly lower glycemic index (i.e. it doesn't affect your blood-sugar levels as much)," Dr. Dixon says. 10 "It also contains more vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, such as calcium, potassium, vitamin C, zinc, phenolic acids, and flavonoids."
However, consuming too much may cause adverse effects due to its high sugar and calorie content.
