 My aunt was a neat freak and I remember back years ago she would totally was her dishes (not just rinse off) in sink and then put them in the dishwasher. So I chuckle whenever I see that commercial of the little girl saying  "so what does the dishwasher do?"

I pre-wash by hand, then in the dishwasher they go!

I don't have a dishwasher and don't mind doing dishes. 

 

Takes less time to do by hand than it did when I had a dishwasher.

I won't even buy anything that says *hand wash* only. 

 

That goes for clothing too.

 Whatever I can put in the dishwasher goes in.The rest like pots & pans & crystal DH washes.
