Do You and DH Differ In Salt Sensitivity???

Goodness!  Everything he cooks is so salty it almost "stings" me!  He always salted more than I did, but he over pours and over seasons with a vengeance!

Does anyone else deal with a "salt hound"???

Yes although he is getting better as he gets older.  I like seasoned food but if it is too salty I simply can't eat it.

@ECBG When I met my husband he salted everything heavily before even tasting.  He has done a complete reversal.  I don't use salt in our home, but it was a long transition time and I've become adept at using natural tasty alternatives to salt.

@ECBG   And too much is well just too much for all of us.

DH cooks here mostly on the weekends since he has time, he really loves to cook. He follows recipes to the tee therefore not over salting. I rarely use salt in cooking instead will use seasonings especially Mrs Dash brand in almost everyone she makes. There is no salt in any of these. We have tons of seasonings & spices, love to use them.

No salt, but I'm a pepper hound.

Yes, I have low tolerance for salt, and my husband salts his food heavily.

My husband can go whole hog on salt but I can’t stand over salted food. I like heavily seasoned but not salt. Plus if I ate like him I’d be a bloated mess!

@kittyloo

My family is from the south.  I grew up eating food seasoned w/bacon grease.

DH is sensitive to salt, so I rarely salt his food but I like my food salted, NOT salty tho.
