Considering a meat thermometer with a thin cord hooked up outside the oven displaying a reading.
What brand do you have and the pros and cons, please.
Many thanks.

I just use an instant read thermometer, the kind you shake to activate, but I don't cook large cuts of meat in the oven.

I am old school, or should I say old kitchen as I use one with the dial gauge. But it works for me. 🌡

I have use one for many years . They're easy to read , and the onen door stays closed during cooking . Tells the temp of the oven as well .
I don't see any cons .

Adding to my previous post : You can see when the meat is almost done ,; so you can put your side dishes going . An alarm goes off when finished.

I also use one with a dial gauge and like it; I can use it on the stovetop or in the oven.
