@Fifi1 wrote:Yes! Both dh and I use our crockpots! We have two different sizes depending on what is cooking!
@Fifi1 I just LOVE❤ reading how TWO cooks in the house use a crock pot! It is SO nice to have more than one size!!! That means TWICE as much cooking will be done!😁
THANK you SO much for caring to share this evening!🤗

I have two crockpots one oval and one is a 9x13
I use the oval one at least once a week the other only on holidays
It’s so nice to come home to a prepared meal or mostly prepared
Meal I’ve worn out several crockpots
@Shihtzursqmom Welcome!🥰 I think it is nice to have options too! Having one reserved for holidays makes it special, and extends the life of the other one! I smiled when I read you have WORN OUT others!😁 That lets me know you have prepared MANY great meals!😄
THANK you SO much for caring to share!🤗

Have used one for years. Wouldn't be without it. Now my air fryer...gave it away.

I used my 1973 Rival avocado green one last night to take a dish to vacation bible school. I got it as a wedding shower gift from my mom. It works perfectly. I bought another fancy one and the handle broke so I hang on to this one. I don't use one often.

@KCDiva Welcome!🥰 Reading your post made me smile!!😊 I was looking through old photos, and came across one with an avocado green crock pot on a shelf in the background that belonged to my former MIL!😁 It was such a comforting memory.❤ I am happy that like many posters you are STILL enjoying yours after many MANY years of dependable service!😊
THANK you SO much for caring to share!🤗

We've got that same green crockpot lol! I just used mine too! To me, the old ones cook food much better. I don't know what it is different about them, but they just do!😃❤️

Washington Post food writers prepared a bunch of favorite recipes in a slow cooker and also in a pressure cooker. They found that the dishes prepared in the slow cooker tasted superior to those made in the pressure cooker. Spices and other flavors had time to develop and work their magic.
There are several recipes I make that do taste much better in a slow cooker than in an Instant Pot. Baked beans. Mississippi roast.
My Instant Pot's slow cooker feature lacks the embracing, wrap-around heat of my old Rival Crockpot.
