I use mine frequently and love it. I cook mostly chicken and pulled pork, chili and beef roasts. I think they make the house smell so good!

Yes, I use mine all the time. I have three different sizes lol. One crockpot I'll bet has been here since the late 70s-early 80s lol.
I just made a terrific roast in my newer large one yesterday. I use them for cooking all sorts of things. They're handy and can cook lots of tougher cuts of beef even very tender.😃❤️

@cheriere Welcome!🥰 I am impressed! I dub you the QUEEN of slow cookery! You know your way around a slow cooker!😁 You make an excellent point regarding how they cook tough cuts of meat until they are tender!😊👍
THANK you SO much for caring to share today!🤗

Yes - I love them. I have 5 including a 9x13 one and a mini one for queso dip etc.
I used them a lot when the kids lived here, but I still use them often. I also love my Nesco roaster.

@kaydee50 Welcome!🥰 I am GLAD you mentioned the George Foreman Grill because I know several people that own and LOVE❤ theirs! It has become such a popular appliance, and I wonder how many other posters have abandoned theirs for the same reason!😁 This is going to be interesting!😊

I still have my crockpot purchased over 10 yrs ago, it's just taking up space in my pantry, I last used it around Christmas time last year. I also have a Air Fryer, only used it once since I bought it in 2019. My daughter loves to cook and I just bought her the Cuisinart Preferred Pan 4 pc set for mother's day (it's what she wanted) and she loves it. She says she can cook almost everything in that one pan set.

@PA Mom-mom wrote:@SandySparkles Yes. I have 3 slow cookers I use for Thanksgiving, Christmas and when the family comes to visit. They keep sides like mashed potatoes in perfect condition for 2 hours. I can keep my corn and other veggies warm and heat my queso dip and keep it warm for hours. No, I don't use them often, but they give me stove space when I absolutely need it.
DD just had a party for her daughter and served taco meat, Mexican rice and queso for 20 people from 3 slow cookers.
@PA Mom-mom Welcome!🥰 WOW! Three...! You are the second QUEEN of the crock!😁 I did not even think about holiday cooking, but that is an EXCELLENT reason for keeping side dishes WARM and save space while doing so! There is no need to microwave or heat up the kitchen by warming things in the oven! Cooking for a crowd is another great reason!😊

@loriqvc wrote:Yes, I still use a slow cooker fairly often—and even more frequently in the summer to help avoid cranking up the oven when it's so hot. We're actually having a big family birthday dinner on Sunday featuring a couple of slow cookers filled with pork shoulder that will be shredded to become enchiladas. Yummy!
And I do have a multicooker, but I feel my separate slow cooker unit does a better job when I want slow cooking, so I enjoy having options.
@loriqvc Welcome!🥰 Those are great reasons to use your slow cooker! Those with large family dinners can save time with multiple dishes cooked in them! It is wonderful to have several options!😁

@haddon9 Welcome!🥰 Seasonal cooking is a GREAT use for it! I LOVE❤ that you said HEARTY stews and roasts because that is exactly what I remember from my dear mother and aunt!😊 When I had one and ate meat, I would make beef pot roast in it for my family!😁

I do use a crockpot but more in cold weather when I want a hearty meal. Great for making pulled chicken or pork, beef stew, corned beef.
