@Sooner wrote:We don't use a slow cooker often, but we have a small cheap one we use sometimes mostly for chicken breasts cooked in tomatoes or tomato sauce.
We use our rice cooker most, then the instant pots. We have a sous vide but don't use it much. We use a Fissler stovetop pressure cooker a lot also--it's great! And just a Le Creuset pot on the stovetop.
@Sooner WOW! You have a pot for ANY job!๐ I am impressed at the Sous Vide! I still have not dared to try one,
and am not familiar with stovetop pressure cookers, or have simply forgotten it.๐ I own a Flame colored Le Creuset that I was gifted for my birthday many Mondays ago, and LOVEโค it for cooking soups, sauces, and gravies!๐ I eat a lot of it, but used to cook different meats for my family in it!
THANK you SO much for caring to share today!๐ค

I have a Crockpot and when they were very popular and new on the cooking front, I used them to make a few different things. It seemed my family didn't care for the texture of the meat which is 'potted'. I rarely use it now, though I did use it one Thanksgiving to keep the mashed potatoes warm because I didn't have any more stove space.
I have a pressure cooker that I use a little more than the crockpot. I like to make pulled pork or carnitas in it. I guess I'm more of a stove and oven cooker, though I do use the air fryer for some things every now and then.

@happilyretiredgirl wrote:@SandySparkles I use mine a lot. Love to make a pot roast with carrots, potatoes, celery and onions especially when it's so hot outside and I don't have to heat the house with the oven. I use for soups, stews, chili. Nothing better than a one pot meal.
@happilyretiredgirl Welcome!๐ฅฐ You said it BEST! There is nothing better than a ONE pot meal! Clean up is a breeze, and every cook appreciates that!๐

@Desertdi Welcome!๐ฅฐ WOW! I have never heard of a stovetop hotpot, but can imagine it's MANY uses! I always say the world is NOT safe if I do not have my 2 cups in the morning so I COMPLETELY understand!๐
THANK you SO much for caring to share because I learned of a new appliance today!๐ค

@SandySparkles Yes, I still use one. I find it's easier to make one pot meals. I incorporate meat and vegetables all in one shot. One pot to clean up. I do wish I had more creativity regarding yummy dinners though. I should try to pick up a slow cooker cookbook.

Oh yes, love, love, love my crockpot and use it all the time. Actually mine is now a Ninja multicooker that has slow cook choices. It also has a non-stick interior so clean up is super easy, much easier than fritzing with cleaning the heavy crock in my last crockpot. The Ninja looks like this (8.5 qt):
I agree with everyone who says the delicious smells that waft through the house will make you drool. HOWEVER when I make pork and sauerkraut I do plug in and cook that outside on the balcony LOL ![]()
(If anyone likes recipes I recommend a website called 365DaysofCrockpot dot com for recipes for slow cooking and pressure cooking).

Sure do! It's an easy way of cooking, especially when it's 90 degrees here.

Never had or wanted either..never wanted an air fryer either.

@ciao_bella Welcome!๐ฅฐ With SO many other pots available on the market these days, I understand why your interest waned.๐ Making carnitas sounds like a great way to use it!๐ Air fryers are definitely a preferred method of cooking by many consumers!๐
