Re: Do You Serve SALAD at Holiday Meals?

I actually wish people would serve salad and eliminate some of the fatty foods.

Re: Do You Serve SALAD at Holiday Meals?

Sometimes...

Our Thanksgiving dinner will be caesar salad and prime rib roast. For dessert I'm making keto custard tarts in ramekins. We'll also be treating ourselves to our fave wine...Edleweiss...a delicious white wine made here in Nebraska.

As for Christmas...no salad.

We'll have turkey, my own home-made sausage stuffing, asparagus, and snow peas. For dessert I'll be making a keto pumpkin pie in individual ramekins. We'll also be making spicy mulled wine...can't wait!  Smiley Very Happy

A favorite jello salad appears at Easter and Christmas, but we eat it as dessert.   Otherwise, no.   We eat many vegetables, but are not a fan of salads.

Yes, we have a veggie and green salad and usually at least one other type containing fruit and nuts.

@Sooner. Mom even had a cut glass plate with compartments made for different relishes which were usually celery sticks, black olives, sweet pickles, spiced crab apples.

Re: Do You Serve SALAD at Holiday Meals?

Come to think of it, my aunt always made fruit salad with apples, bananas, orange sections, maybe pineapple and grapes.  Always green seedless grape.  Which she PEELED!
