A friend of mine loves food. She's an excellent cook. She's not overweight or has any major health issues but I've never seen anyone get so excited about food. She's thinking of dinner at breakfast. I was never, or am I now like that. I enjoyed food more when I was younger, now at 69, it's more of a "I should eat something." thing. I envy her in some ways, but my feeling is, it's just food.
It's a little past 2:30 in the afternoon and I just put some PB on a slice of bread. I wasn't really that hungry but figured I should get something in my stomach.
In years past I looked forward to Thanksgiving dinner, now it's no big deal.
How important is food to you? Love it or just eat to survive.

Besides eating to survive there are certain foods I love. I don't think about them 27/4 but I do love certain foods.

I eat to live.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 I eat to live. Usually I only eat once a day and that's at dinner. I only eat then because I will get a headache if I don't or wake up at 1:30am hungry. If I could take a pill and be full that would make me happy. I do drink a lot of water during the day so that helps keep me full.

Being a type 1 diabetic, unfortunately I have to eat to live.

I used to live to eat, I guess I still do, but with caution. I have reflux disease so I have to watch what I eat and how much.

Once in a blue moon I get the urge for something. A few weeks ago I wanted chicken n biscuits. I made it but after 3 or 4 bites I was done. It was really good but it seemed the thought of having it was greater and actually eating it.
DD asked why I made it only to eat a couple of bites. I had no answer.

I do love some foods, but I mainly eat to live. I never eat very much at a meal. If I go out to eat I usually take half of it home. I didn't used to be this way, but my appetite has diminished in the past 10 - 15 years.
