Just wondering if many of you have the 3 qt pressure cooker? I was just wondering if you find it very useful? And how many chicken breasts will it cook at a time?
Thanks!

@Sooner, I have a 2 quart CE pressure cooker. It's just me so it's a perfect size, I use it 3 to 4 times a week. It cooks pasta in about 6 minutes, I'm not a fan of chicken so I'm sorry I can't answer that one. ![]()

@Sueliz THANKS! That's helpful. I'm not a huge chicken fan either, but I eat it. . .

@Sooner, I don't have a 3-qt pressure cooker (just a larger one), but I bet you could cook at least 2 chicken breasts in it.
Probably wouldn't be a good choice for split peas or beans, though, as they tend to foam up as they cook and you need room for pressure to build up.

@hummermom EXCELLENT point. I hadn't thought of that!

Remember, you can cook small quantities in a larger pressure cooker but you can't cook larger amounts in a small one. I wouldn't have one under 4qts. Although I live alone I always cook enough for 2-3 meals minimum.

@@Sooner.
No. Not a 3 qt. But, I do have the C.E. 4 qt. Pressure Cooker and use 3-4 times every week. It will easily fit 4 -5 chicken breasts. "Cook once, eat thrice."
Healthier cooking. ![]()

never knew they made that small, thought 4 was smallest

I bought the 2 qt because the 4 qt was too heavy for me to lift.
The inside pot is the exact same size as my 2 qt pot.
Remember not to full over 1/2 full of solid food or 2/3 full of liquid.
I did a pork roast for pulled pork and it worked great.

You can cook more than you think in the small ones. I remembered I have the 2qt also.
I know you could do four or so chicken breast in it.
I got it to do my sides of veg in or something like that when in a hurry Or when I dont want to open up larger one to add in veg. towards the end.
I fill my pretty full and never have any spew out....the important thing is that no Food
blocks the pop up valve in the lid.
