We usually eat normally since the house is air conditioned and I wouldn't know the outdoor temperature unless I actually went outside. If I were out there in it all day, I'd probably feel differently.  I plan our meals in advance and stick to the plan 95% of thr time.  We've been eating our bigger meal at noon for about six months or so and really like that routine.

@Enufstuff I have been making yogurt for 30 years and I like it better than the commercial yogurt.  I use this maker in the hot summer, and a euro cuisine with little jars or a 1 qt cheap maker in cooler weather!  It's easy!

I'm just not in the mood to cook, although my house is cool.

Tonight we did hoagies and yesterday stopped for lunch at Panera.  I had a tuna salad it was delicious.

Spouse isn't interested in eating big meals -- tomorrow night I already know it's gonna be chopped antipasto with maybe bruschetta.

I cook comfort foods after the summer heat is gone maybe November😉

@Sooner  From scratch?  If so, how?

@Mz iMac Well you see--We have bread machines.  Small ones and a big one! So it's easy to make the dough, it rises, then you get it out, shape it, let it rise a little more and bake! They are so good!

He makes bread all the time.

@JFD12  Of course. My grandchildren loved that. When they were little, I cooked Annie's shells and on top of it, I placed a hot dog "octopus". Most recently, I made it for my great grand children.  If you have not seen it done, you can Google it, maybe it is on you tube or Pinterest.

It's really very cute. You cut the tentacles and place the hot dog into boiling water. The tentacles curl up. When you set it on top of the macaroni, you can make little mustard eyes. It is easy to do and fun for little kids.

@ninjawife  That sounds great. MMM, Chinese food. That may be in the near future. It has been a while since I've had a Mai Tai.
