I have bought this brand  cookies from the Q a couple times now--they are really good--thin and crispy and great flavors--got 3 boxes for under $30--double sleeves of cookies--you can eat 8 of them for not many calories---but as I was perusing the cookie aisle at my local grocery store--- there they were---for $4.99 a box!! And they had different flavors--same packaging and same double tubes of cookies. Just saved me $15 on a 3 pack!!!

The Deweys cookies are outright dangerous.  Yes, a serving size is eight but between taste and texture it is extremely difficult to stop at eight!

I particularly like the ginger ones and the different varieties now available at my local grocery stores.

Re: Deweys thin cookies

[ Edited ]

I just tried them recently after hearing about them on QVC for awhile, and they really are quite tasty! The limited edition apple cider ones are some of the best storebought cookies I've ever had; the pumpkin spice thins they were paired with in the set I bought were good, but I'd really only like to get more of the apple ones, so I may buy them directly from Dewey's website, which has pretty good prices. Despite the fact that a couple of stores near me are supposed to sell some of the thins (based on the Dewey's stock locator), I've never seen any on the shelves. Amazon has decent prices as well, depending on whether you buy individual boxes or sets.

(And thanks for posting this—I realized I never updated my recent thread about testing the Dewey's thins for baking now that Nabisco has discontinued its chocolate wafers.)

Wagirl: The Q doesn't want us to know but we really are paying for free shipping it is included in the price of the product we are buying. So many products the Q sells are in the stores for a decent price much cheaper than the Q or HSN for that matter. Costco is one and i have seen the same products at Target.

I'm not sure if you have a Jewel/Albertsons near you but they have Deweys cookies, Lindt, Russell Stover, Realgood items (those nuggets or cauliflower pizza crust) and also the charcuterie guy with Family Farms bacon wrapped cheese stuffed chicken. I'll admit I never believed him when he said him and the wife split one. I believe it having seen them. They're huge. But they're also $5.99 each - $35.94 for 6. Q has them for 6 @ $87.97

@Barbgee ---Yes--I agree--nothing is for free--and I do check most things sold here, against other stores/websites and quite often I can find better prices.

A comment about "free shipping".  I recently ordered a food product from Q.  The total weight of the product was 4.15 pounds but the shipping weight, according to UPS, was 22 pounds!

The cost to me as an individual to ship the same size (dimensions) package weighing 22 pounds would be approximately $26.65.

Although my item arrived fully frozen the shipper has cut back on the amount of dry ice to the point that if there had been even one day delay the food would have arrived either partially or fully thawed.  Shippers have dramatically cut back the amount of dry ice they use.

These are items that I can get at my local grocer so I don't pay for the "convenience" QVC offers. I really like them, wish the ginger ones were stronger but I've yet to find a real strong ginger cookie lately. Even the SusanSnaps aren't ginger-y enough for me.
