I haven't seen that product presented in YEARS.  Yes, I have one and use it mainly because I always marinate my steaks and I want the marinade to get into the meat.  Can't say I can tell any difference in tenderness of the meat though.

My father used something similar at least 50 years ago. You may not notice much of a difference in tenderness as you may purchase tender cuts as it is. 

 

We were not weathly amd a family of 10 so he probably used it on cheap cuts of meat.

I was just at Federal Meat mkt.

 

The butcher was using one.

I agree with you. I've had it for several years and while it operates as well as they claim, I don't notice any difference in the tenderness of the meat.
