Appears to be some who want others to think they are so high class because they criticize how a host holds his wine glass and KNOW how to properly hold a wine glass because they go to tutored wine tastings conducted by sommeliers -- and have seen many sommeliers (in Napa Valley and local wine tastings as well).

Who cares and I also agree that to hold it any other way than he did would not have showcased the wine he was selling!!!

Pook -- let me get this straight. You are criticizing me for bringing up Napa -- which I don't consider "high class" -- as a way of me commenting on the non-issue of how David holds his glass?? You saw that as me criticizing David? What does "there is no rule" mean to you? My point was it doesn't matter how David or anyone else holds their glass, in my opinion, but there are people who prefer one way or the other. Read my post again, then one more time. Better now?

Well, I don't drink wine and I don't watch David, so not much to say here. Actually not much has been said anyway.

You have talent! Wouldn't that give them something to talk about if he did that??

There's definitely something ridiculous and stupid about this thread, not sure it has anything to do with David.

As usual the OP gets slammed for asking a question and voicing an honest opinion. So what if it sounds like David is not her cup of tea, there is no need for the David lovers and the know it alls to slam her. For what it's worth, wine is supposed to be enjoyable and I don't think it matters how it's enjoyed, no rules.

Wrong! Saying how ridiculous he looks was not just an honest opinion, it was just as much a slam as anything anyone else posted back.
