They always mention David's Cookies started in a famous NY department store. Does anyone know the store? I looked on their website and read their bio, but it didn't mention the name of the store.

I don't know of a dept. store but i do know that their first store was in Manhattan next to the "famous" restaurant Chez Louis on 2nd Ave.

@DJs mom - I think it was Macy's on 34th Street.

@tessam whenever the hosts (especially DV) introduce David's Cookies they say they started in the basement of a famous NYC department store.

I found an inc dot com magazine article talking about David's cookies, did see that Macy's was in the article, didn't have time to read maybe the answer is there.

Maybe it's being confused with the Neiman Marcus chocolate chip cookie???

David seems to have open his own shop, "Founder David Liederman opens the first David’s Cookies shop in Manhattan in1997"

OK.  Maybe someone should inform Google!  If you read the Company history, it isn't mentioned anywhere!
