David's Cookbook - thought this was going to be a spiral bound book??

Am I mistaken - I thought David was going to have his cookbook spiral bound so that it would lie flat??

I am on the order for it - but wondering if I should cancel - I have food allergies, but like different ideas in cooking - guess I like to collect cookbooks..I think -well I could gift this to my daughter she's 30 - she doesn't have many cookbooks...
