There are a million reasons people are heavy. Many medications and illnesses can cause it. Your judgmentalism is uncalled for.

Re: David and Brussel Sprouts

Everyone has at least one food that they cannot stand, no matter what.  David's is Brussels sprouts, mine is tuna fish, a co-worker couldn't stand asparagus.  LOL.  David's reaction to Brussels sprouts is hysterical.

I hated Brussels sprouts as a child, but after having roasted Brussels sprouts as an adult, I could eat those little suckers all day!

@SurferWife

I made hamburger steaks, roasted Brussell sprouts, broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes and Irish potatoes for lunch today.  Soooo goood.  Now the fat police are going to come after me for having hamburger steaks.  Yikes.  Gotta run.  Those fat haters are teaming up against me.

@Nonametoday

MMMMMMMM...hamburger steak, especially with gravy, is "last meal on earth" worthy!

Funny story...my husband (does all the cooking) makes hamburger steak the 1st day of every month because our little dog Toby will not take his 1x month flea, heart worm pill unless we disguise it, so you know who gets hamburger steak the 1st day of every month...only a little bitty bit of gravy, though!  He never knows is pill has been crushed up & mixed inside.  We tried everything to get him to take it & the first time we tried hamburger steak, we stopped trying with anything else.

@SurferWife

We rolled up our dogs' in a slice of sharp cheese.  It fooled everyone we ever owned.  I understand disguising meds.  I have a time with my cat.  She does not like fish and seafood.  I try with chicken but I think she is smarter than my dogs.  Such a diva.  We have learned to hold her and open her jaws and slip it in.

David's mentioned a lot of times that he doesn't like brussel sprouts. Can't say I blame him.

@catter70

My children did not like them either until I began roasting them and I used to put brown sugar on them but now I disguise it with Splenda.  They think they have sugar on them. They love them.  I make ours with garlic, lemon, avocado oil and pepper flakes.

I do much like them cooked, but they are wonderful raw.  Can even dip with them.

Body shaming is not OK. I feel sorry for your brother. I can't imagine the kind of things you have said to him!

@manny2 @I feel sorry for people who aren't aware that they're making wackadoodle assumptions.

My brother doesn't need your sympathy.  He and I have a great relationship, in spite of our different lifestyles.  He knows his diet is unhealthy and he owns it.

He does have a great sense of humor and when I tell him a stranger from the qvc forums feels "sorry" for him, he'll find it amusing.

Welll..... While I like Brussels sprouts and realize the health benefits, I find when I roast them, they have a bad effect on my GI system such that everyone wants to leave the room I'm in!! 😂😂😂   DH calls them ...artballs, If you get the drift!  Maybe David has had this same experience! lol!

"Artballs"!   Too funny.

@septemberI don't normally come back and respond, but I had to on this one. I think your initial post, and this one tells who you are, and after your response I really feel for your brother.
