She had a great show this morning with David V and Regis. He did really good, so different when he is not trying to sell something. Regis always makes me laugh, he is a character. Hope someone else saw it too.

I thought it was a great segment with David V.

However......I was appalled when Regis pointed the nail gun up close at that lady in the previous segment.  So dangerous. Not funny.

@TeezNu  Why did Regis have a nail gun on stage?  Was it "loaded?"

When I was flicking through the channels I recognized David V's voice so watched a few minutes.  I have not watched him in years and would not have recognized him.

@ValuSkr   Regis was Rachel's guest co-host.  In the previous segment, a DIY couple was promoting their new show on HGTV.  They were demonstrating a few easy upgrades for your home, one of which was how to lay down some flooring boards, which required the use of a nail gun.  They let Regis use the nail gun on a board, to show how easy it was, and of course the audience laughed.  He seemed to get caught up in the "fun", and pointed the nail gun right up close to the lady's mid-section.  The audience gasped, but quickly moved on.  My heart skipped a few beats.  That is how accidents happen.

I made a point to watch it when I saw the commercial for it on the proceeding local show that I usually have on in the background. I enjoy DV and Regis. @TeezNu I gasped also when I saw Regis aim the nail gun . That is not a toy.

I seem to recall on one of the pre-christmas shows I think with Regis and Kathy Lee , Regis saying he wanted a chain saw for Christmas and everyone saying --not a good idea. Some people need to keep away from tools.

I have no idea why Regis is being pushed - a week on Home and Family, now Rachel Ray.  Do not understand the lure of Regis to anyone - certainly not acting as co-host on shows. He retired I thought.  Can't they just let him rest it out??? As for DV, I miss him whenever I can.  Most of the time I do watch Rachel, but not today.

I watched some of it just now.  It was fine.  

But that cold open with Rachael trying to guess who her 'co-host' was going to be was just cringey.    After a while I had to FF through to when David came out.  Watched (kinda while I was doing other stuff) that segment and then got out of there.

I like David.  He seems to be a nice guy, a good guy, and is polite.    I like those qualities in a person.

I recorded Rachel today and was looking forward to seeing David's segment.  I'm in So. Ca. and have Direct TV -she comes on at 10:00 a.m.  I didn't get to see any of David's segment because our President held a news conference with the King of Jordan and it took up most of her show.  So sad what is going on around the world.

No *sigh* Regis is not being pushed. He's always on once in a while on these shows. I will always miss Regis on the air. I think he's hilarious and very warmly genuine. I can never figure out what it could be that people don't like him. He just makes me happy.
