all of the hosts eat when they are doing food shows,  I would say it is a requirement. And I do not think he eats any differently than others. Dan seems genuiine, a real gentleman, a preson of integrity, is not afraid to speak for his faith and love of his family. He handled loosing his wife to cancer with such grace. If there is anyone out there that has experienced the illness/ death of a spouse or loved one that is  so dear to your heart, you can understand this.  to the haters out there, shame on you,  A lot of people could  take a few lifes lessons from him on how to be a kind, compassionate human being. 

Besides why not find the good in people, there is enough bad in the world. 

I thought the look on his face was priceless when Emeril gave him a cupfull of meatballs he had made. Wasn't it Kathy Levine who wrote  the book entitled " It is better to laugh. You guys need to leave Dan alone, he is a great human bein with a kind and gentle soul.

I am so encouraged that something that started out to be a negative has turned into a positive and the negatives are completely and obviously outnumbered!  I feel like kicking my heels up and shouting..... Hurray!

I bet he loves to be given the food shows....I would too!  Who wants to go outside and stand there showing a Halo car charger thing...or a ladder?  Bring on the food LOL!

Lucky you he's retiring end of month so you won't have to deal with this anymore since you can't change the channel😉

Many hosts just not Dan eat like they haven't eaten in weeks but I agree it's a little over the top BUT nobody beats Sunny Anderson on the kitchen - I think she was born ready with a fork in her hand.  That's why I stopped watching that show!!!!

And Shannon on HSN doesn't eat but every minute she's all over the food with her "containers" especially when Wolfgang & Curtis are on!

A lot of these meanies complaining are just jealous that the hosts are enjoying all the wonderful food while getting paid to do so.

Are you guys so upset because you are eating fast food junk all the time or just not a good cook? Try some of the food and buy it if you are always watching the food shows. 

Then if you don't like it maybe you have a right to complain if it is not good.

Well at the end of his food show tonight, Dan made a little speech and was choking up about leaving. I felt bad for him. No one will have to see him overeat anymore since he is leaving.
