No instructions came with the pans, and I have searched but could not find the answer.

I never saw muffin top pans. How fun! It is, after all, the best part of the muffin.
Just a guess on my part, but I'd fill them to just slightly below the top.

I would concur to fill it a bit below the top. Usually cupcakes or muffin tins are filled about 2/3 full.

I would put the same amount of batter as a regular muffin tin, but I would bake it for about half as long.

I swear I don't need one kitchen item the rest of my life, but muffin tops are the best! I might need to check this out. I would say about 2/3 as well.🤣🤣
Edited to add. My first thought was 4 aren't enough, but I see Amazon sells the 3 pack! ❤️❤️

These look so fun ... @mousiegirl I don't really think you could mess up... it would depend on your recipe but I'd probably start with an inexpensive Martha White packaged mix, cover the bottom ~ fill to half ~ see what happens...
Gonna be good!!!

@lynnie61 Yes, I brought the set of three. Apparently, the three pan set takes 1 1/2 cups of batter, which means about two tablespoons of batter each, they are 1/2" deep and four inches wide, so maybe this amount is correct.
I will experiment.
I have been searching and no one really says how much batter in each cup. Math is not my best subject, to say the least, lol.

A family favorite receipe is an apple cake cooked in a bundt type pan. We all love the crunchy edges. So we have experimented with using a rectangular pan (8 1/2 by 11) which makes more crunchy area. The muffin top pan makes more like a cookie but pretty good.

@Spacrazy I am going to use a banana bread recipe with nuts and raisins. A month ago, I used a mini loaf pan, so there was a lot of the outside crust, my favorite, but DH said they were too small, lol, so I will make him small breads in another loaf pan set of four, then he can slice it. I just eat them like cookies, no cutting, just biting, lol.
I freeze them individually. I couldn't stay away from them, so yummy.

@deepwaterdotter Um, no. This is for muffin tops which take a lot LESS batter than a muffin. You couldn't fit 2/3 of a cup of batter in these. Look again.
