You're welcome. Woman HappyOh, I'm glad you like that. It's my favorite combo with cottage cheese.

Re: DO YOU EAT COTTAGE CHEESE?

I have tried and just can't do it. It is low cal and high in protein, but I just can't eat it.

Most companies also make single servings of CC with fruit to mix in .... strawberries, peaches, etc.

NOT trying to force you to try it again, but not everyone likes it plain.

@retiredatlast   The idea of cottage cheese ice cream doesn't sound disgusting to me.  I think it sounds good!

I saw a recipe somewhere recently using CC in a cold chicken salad.  I think it also had white grapes in it.

Cottage cheese is a very versatile food.

Re: DO YOU EAT COTTAGE CHEESE?

We like it. My German Mother in law, who was a great cook, served it with chopped green onions, salt and pepper. It's an acquired taste. I buy mine from Sprouts, Good Culture. It's supposed to be healthy with 'clean ingredients'? It does taste good!

Re: DO YOU EAT COTTAGE CHEESE?

A favorite recipe that I have given to many friends for a vegetarian high protein spinach pie that uses cottage cheese.  But it doesn't taste like eating cottage cheese. I am a cottage cheese lover, especially the large curd cottage cheese.  The small curd is too soupy for my tastes.

Spinach Pie

1 Cup cottage cheese (any kind you prefer)

3 large eggs

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt (can omit this if not wanting extra sodium)

2 cloves of chopped garlic (or 1 teaspoon of ready chopped garlic) Or more if you really love garlic

10 oz of frozen chopped spinach, uncooked, thawed and drained

4 oz of shredded cheddar or monterey jack cheese (spicy kind as well if desired)

2 tablespoons parmesan cheese

Dash of hot sauce to taste if desired

Mix all ingredients in a bowl.  Pour mixture into a greased 9 inch pie pan (can double the ingredients for a 9X13 pan).  Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until set and browned on top.

Enjoy if you make it.  It is really good.  Lower cal recipe that is good for vegetarians (not vegans) and is keto friendly.
