DH is a professional chef so I'm usually regulated to sous chef and prep cook whether I like it or not. I try to get thing done before he gets home. I make a killer cornbread, chestnut, sausage dressing.

DH gets up earlier than I do most mornings and makes an excellent pot of coffee. He also usually fixes his own lunch when I'm not around to do it. He does things when asked -- like take out the trash, pick up something at the store, or reach something from a shelf. Otherwise, he's not particularly "kitchen friendly", and I'm really happier handling meal preparation and clean-up myself most of the time. I generally like to cook, have my systems and methods down, and clean up as I go -- and it's just the two of us, so cooking isn't a big deal on a day-to-day basis.

He's helpful in other ways, but just minimally in the kitchen.

Why are you asking if I have a husband? I do and I respect him enough to not bash him even on a forum full of complete strangers.

The day I refer to my husband as useless - I can't imagine saying that about him.

Did you ever notice how there is a population of forum members who never, EVER start a new thread, yet they are very quick to hijack someone else's and run it into a ditch?

I'd like to see each one of you snarky, mean-spirited posters starting an original and interesting thread on these boards.

He cooks when I'm not home. I can tell, it looks like a typhoon rolled through the kitchen.

I agree, the word useless is a tad harsh.
