This is a bunch of B.S. Yes, women should be educated and pursue careers - it gives them more options for living a fulfilling life. Women who want children should wait until they're married. Of course single women can raise wonderful children, but there's nothing like two loving adults who respect each other, helping to raise a family. It's so much more difficult alone.
It seems like you have had bad experiences. That's too bad. There are a lot of wonderful men out there. If you want a loving, caring partner who gives 100% to a relationship, you have to be one, too.

I could not disagree more.
This is the same person who, in another thread in Mom to Mom, said that teachers are overpaid and don't deserve Christmas gifts, or something like that.
Take it for what it's worth.
Okay, thanks. I tend to not remember names and I rarely look at past history of posters, so I'm grateful for the information.
I really don't like generalizations to begin with, but when they're as ridiculous as these, it's not even worth anyone's time.
I think some people throw fat into the fire, and hijack the thread. Some statements are so blatant, there can be no other reason. Sometimes it turns the conversation toward them, which may be the intent. IDK, but it is a thought.

Hey, Honny:
Just had to pop in and say how interesting this thread has been, and how much I liked your - and mostly everyone's - posts.
The rest need to chillax to the max.
Every single one of us needs to always keep in mind "to each their own", and respect others who don't think the same thoughts as ourselves. Stay open-minded.
Personally, marriage isn't for me, although I enjoy hearing about good ones (there's too many people who should never have partnered, IMHO). Guess it's because I find psychology fascinating, or maybe it's because I've always been 'different' and my life situations sooo not the norm, LOL.
At any rate, it's nice hearing about your family, and props to each member for 'making it work'. ![]()

True, but my hubby is too old to train. LOL I kind of like him the way he is anyway. My 2 brothers are excellent cooks and both do a fair share of the cooking.
*ETA* My husband thought the subject of this thread was funny and had a big grin when I told him to guess which one I picked.

LOL, well in this case I'd say lucky men.
How fortunate in this day and age most women aren't pushed into marriage with men.

My DH is wonderful and very helpful. Does he sometimes do things his way and not mine? Sure, but right now as I type, he's decorating the tree since I have to go to work in a couple of hours. Last night I was trying to get my Xmas card done on the computer and having trouble and he came and figured it out after I gave up. I have a friend who has a husband that doesn't like to help much around the house but he's willing to pay anyone else to do it. She always says "he's great at writing checks!".

Men aren't creepy - but you are.
This to infinity!
Don't you wonder how many good men and boys are dragged down by people like Reever? The comment that most men are creepy is so untrue. Some men are creepy, some women are creepy and some children are creepy but you can't lump the majority of people into one single statement like that.

Occasionally these wacky questions pop out of his mouth and I have to gently remind him THAT I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING, thank you very much.
Hi glmama!
The last dish to go on the table was the garlic bread. I got the frozen one that has a loaf split into two. On one half, I put a dry ranch dressing and left the other loaf as is.
He started up with his questions. I counted to ten and said "Love, I know what I'm doing!"
