YES THEY ARE THE SAME, I ORDERED A SET FOR MY FATHER AT WALMART.COM, I GOT MINE ON HSN AND EXACT SAME, WALMART WAS HALF THE COST. I THINK THEY ARE ONLY ONLINE.

I have used immersion blenders for years  and it should not in any way do anything to your pan. If you are getting damage then you need a new blender.
