YUK! I grew  up with the best fish in the world.  My father was a commercial fisherman.so I know what fish should look like.  This is

so pale .  I would never eat farmed fish.

I never tried it.  It is too expensive IMO, at least for me.  $10 for each piece and it is farmed raised salmon. That is almost $25 a pound!

I eat seafood several times a week, but i try to avoid farm raised if possible.  Wild caught is normally much more expensive than farm raised, but not this time.

I can get wild caught at my local seafood market much cheaper and it is delicious.

@Cherylou

Not everyone likes wild salmon better than Atlantic farmed salmon.  I'm one of those people.

Perhaps it's my cooking, but it never has seemed as good as the rest.

In my opinion the wild caught salmon at our local B.J.'s ,  while 22$ a bag,  does not taste nearly as good as these salmon do.  And the wild salmon have the skin on and you get the ends.   Where these are all center cut.  They are delicious and worth it to me.

If you love salmon, look online for wild caught salmon shipped directly from Alaska to you.  They are from the boats and processors in Alaska and are the best you can buy!

Look for introductory offers or specials, and do some research for reviews of the companies.  You don't need to give a cut of the proceeds to some celebrity for their name and you get top notch seafood.

 I have bought frozen salmon filets from Sam's they have been quite good.  The problem is the pieces run about 4 -6 oz  and are not the same size.  Some are filet, the others are the tail end that can make them hard to cook evenly.

I watched Curtis cooking some of his salmon, and he pulled it off the stove, tore it apart, showing uncooked center. I have never eatne partially cooked fish. Beef, yes, but not fish. You can do that???

Sure you can.  There are resturants that that specialize in raw fish.

Re: Curtis Stone Salmon

I had a question after seeing the warnings about frozen salmon. What if you buy unfrozen salmon from the store chiller case, and then freeze it yourself. Is the bacteria warning in play?
