I always shop the reduced/clearance and have accumulated a lot of kitchen stuff at next to nothing prices--- sometimes I forget I even have them the next year! So this year I found that I had 3 Wilton heart sucker/type pans--- it has 6 recessed shallow hearts and you can insert candy sticks into them if you want or just do the heart part. The wrapping shows rice krispie/marshmallow treats, and a few more including chocolate chip cookies. So to ( finally) get to the point and it being Valentine's day and all- I decided to do the choc. chip cookies- it said to just use regular recipe and spread it to 1/8" of the sides- well it didn't say exactly how much--- so I hazarded a guess---And I've been baking long enough to know that the dough will spread but---well the edges got dark and crispy and the centers stayed soft- they were still edible- but I wonder if anyone else has tried these pans with cookie recipes that had to be baked and how did you figure how much dough to use? TIA
