Cuisinart vs. Ninja or something else coffee maker?

A friend gifted us a Cuisinart 12-cup programmable coffee maker as a house warming present in November and I had the same one a few years ago. I like regular coffee makers over a Keurig. My first one lasted a few years and this one that was gifted has only lasted until now, 9 months, before having an issue with the water reservoir leaking. I started looking online and Ninja has some good reviews and I'm torn between it or another Cuisinart. Or maybe I should get a different brand? I thought some fellow coffee lovers out there would have some recommendations.

I have a Crusinart which I love.  Use it with a paper filter.

When I got it, I also got a backup at the same time, because you know, coffee.....

So now it won't die and I have two 😂

I have the same problem, my Cuisinart went on me this morning it would not brew the coffee and just held the water.

I'm debating whether to buy another Cuisinart ( this was my 3rd ) but they don't seem to last. I will look up different brands but I not familiar with any other brand but Cuisinart.

The coffee pots are ganging up on us!   My mini Keurig finally died completely this morning.  It heated a cup of water, but stopped working once I added the K-cup.   I believe my mine was the first mini they made, so it lasted 2 decades.

I dug out my old 4-cup Cuisinart and some paper filters.  If I can get myself back into a decent early morning routine, I might live without a backup pot for a while.

We liked our last Cuisnart so well that we ended up buying a new one off ebay when it broke.

We both drink different brands due to caffeine issues and brew into Yeti cups.  It's very difficult to find a new one that doesn't use pods and will brew a single large serving.

I was looking at small BUN coffee maker, but it brewed into a small pot and had no auto shut off feature.

We like the Cuisinart's.  Tried the Bunn but didn't like it.  Our Cuisinart we have right now is about 2 yrs. and 7months old. I think the others have lasted 3-4 yrs.

We have a Black and decker coffee pot that has lasted years and years.  It has a stainless steel Carafe that does not keep 'cooking' the coffee ,  yet keeps it nice and hot all day.   We love the idea of the Keurig,   and have had many,  they keep breaking.  Each time the last about a year,  yet the Black and decker still goes strong.

Re: Cuisinart vs. Ninja or something else coffee maker?

I gave up on Cuisinart because the water reservoir eventually leaks.  I also had a Black & Decker insulated carafe coffee maker, I still have the insulated carafe although the coffee maker is long gone.  I think the B & D overflowed, coffee grounds and water everywhere.  Honestly, I have no brand recommendations, I've tried so many of the less expensive brands and they all break at some point.  Whatever brand you buy with a glass carafe, make sure you can buy a replacement carafe.  Some brands don't have a replacement carafe and then you're stuck.

Anyway, I gave up on electric drip coffeemakers and went with a stainless insulated French press.

Also, have you noticed the slime mold that grows in the water reservoir of an electric drip coffeemaker?  Dark and damp, perfect growing conditions, even with regular cleaning.  Blech.

Are we tired of “winning” yet?

A Ninja coffee maker was my first QVC purchase in the spring of 2016. I’m still using it.
