Counter top nugget ice machine suggestions

I was looking over the Amazon Prime Day Deals. So many brands that I have not seen or heard of. Three years ago purchased counter top ice machine that made different ice cubes. My teeth are ready for the softer ice. Can't afford the premium nugget ice machine. This will be my birthday gift to me. Price range $175. Thank you.

@SouthernBee An ice machine is the best thing going!  I was just digging around in ours and now have lovely cold water!

Ours came with the house so isn't new and I don't have a recommendation except how wonderful it is having enough ice.

My husband says that is the reason I wanted this particular house.

My brother and SIL purchased an Igloo brand ice machine from Amazon.  It is self-cleaning and the ice is small and bullet-shaped.  I think she said it was under $100.  They are happy with the purchase.

Ice isn't something I think about; in fact, as long as my iced tea or Pepsi is cold, I don't even bother to add ice.

Your post, however, got me interested and so I started looking around.  There was an article published by Popular Mechanics listing the best counter top machines.

I believe it was a Frigidaire that got first place.  I checked the Amazon price and it was $105. Seems like a good deal, if you want to check it out @SouthernBee !

Ice is a necessity in Arizona. We go through lots of it. We bought one for under $100 last year at Costco. We run it almost daily. Even though I'm less than a mile from the store it sure beats dragging home bags of dripping melting ice.

@Sooner : We were frustrated with replacing our refrigerator ice maker and finally replaced with a refrigerator without ice maker.

 The ice machine that I purchased makes the bullet shaped ice, machine still good but love the nugget ice. Counter space limited .

Totally understand. Plus using more ice with the current heat wave.

@Meowingkitty  Totally understand about the heat. We don't have Costco in my area but Sams and their price for nugget ice maker $399 and too big for my counter space.

Stay cool and enjoy your ice.

@SouthernBee   "Softer" ice?

Do you mean "crushed" ice instead of nuggets?
