Could have sworn I smelled toast today, when there wasn't any.

[ Edited ]

Wonder what that means?

Trying to decide what to have for lunch today.

What's everyone having?  By the way, It's been snowing all morning.  Started light, but it got heavier and for longer.

The grass was back and now, the snow is back.

How's everyone else doing weather-wise? Good day for a hot meal.

I live out in the rural sticks and sleep with my windows open in summer...

Sometimes I wake up and smell cigarette smoke ( I live alone and don't smoke never have).

Creepy. As if someone is walking around smoking nearby.....

Then I can't get back to sleep!!!!

I'm in Pa. and it's 71 with rain on the way. By the weekend maybe a wintry mix. As for lunch, I eat early and had a salad, crackers and iced tea.

@qualitygal   Last week my husband and I attended a funeral.  During the service we smelled coffee brewing, when we went back to the social area of the church, for the meal,  there was no coffee....water and punch is what they offered.

We are big coffee drinkers, it must have been wishful thinking, ha!

Don't want to be a Debbie downer here, @qualitygal, but I've heard that smelling BURNT toast can happen prior to a seizure or heart attack.

I know it sounds odd and I'm hoping it was just some phantom smell with no explanation.  Happens to me with various odors too.

Luckily, it wasn't "burnt toast" then.  Let's hope neither of those 2 happen.

When my husband and I travel to the VA, there is one particular area where I smell fresh brewed coffee, every single trip!
