Re: Corky's BBQ Babyback Ribs Auto Delivery

I've had the 9-lb Corky's BB Ribs on auto-delivery shipped to my son, which I purchased a while ago.  They have only fulfilled one order!

The 2nd scheduled delivery was cancelled.  Now the 3rd scheduled delivery has been placed on backorder.

QVC continues to sell the 3-lb pack and the 6-lb pack.

Of course, my order came to $15/pound.

Corky's largest BB ribs order they offer now, 6-lbs -- comes to $20/pound.

Easy to see why they cancel/backorder/waitlist orders while still selling the product in different, more expensive, configurations.

Q offers no resolution for vendors not fulfilling promised autoships

--- no substitution options

--- no like discount on other items

--- nothing

i contacted Q 3 times/ways and received zero help.

--- live chat on Q

--- phone call to customer service

--- dm on social media

Clearly they need to stop selling auto ships since it is beyond their business practices to take care of customers when the auto ship promise fails.

@Caaareful Shopper  My personal opinion:  Sounds like a bait & switch tactic.

Rastelli's has been doing the same thing with some of their autodelivery products , probably because of the cost changes, but honestly don't tell customers to Expect  to get all their deliveries if you won't honor the autopay prices .

@rockygems123, yes, you're exactly right about not being able to plan.

I order food from Costco, Goldbelly, and elsewhere when they have sales. Those have very limited time frames. But, due to freezer space, pass on their sales if I know I have QVC A/D arriving soon. Not cool when QVC cancels.

@Etoile308

Same with me freezer space has to be carefully planned.  Not that my refrigerator / freezer isn't big but I've avoided buying a secondary freezer, just don't want to fill it up and have an abyss of frozen food in there ha.

It's not bait & switch.  A "bait and switch" is  a deceptive sales tactic where a seller advertises an appealing low-priced offer (the "bait") to lure customers, only to pressure them into purchasing a different, higher-priced, or inferior product (the "switch").

This is just a case of an auto delivery not being honored. It seems to happen a lot with food and beauty items. I've had it happen and will no longer buy from those QVC vendors.

Re: Corky's BBQ Babyback Ribs Auto Delivery

If anyone's having similar problems with their auto-deliveries not being fulfilled, especially if the same items are still being sold in different configurations, please consider sending an email to QVC customer service.

I sent an email detailing my experience with Corky's BB ribs.  I got a pleasant, but very lukewarm response basically saying they feel my frustration, and they will pass along my feedback.

Not the response I wanted, for sure.  It was a hollow statement with no real ownership or resolution.

Then they need to stop auto delivery.  In December I got an order delay on my 1st advanced order of Rastellis prime rib.  But......it did ship a week later, and I did get it.  But some people pick the given week.  Holidays, travel, freezer space.  It worked out, but if we were going away, it could have been a mess.  The whole purpose was to "lock in your price".

I have a Lindt order for Easter.  I think I'm passing on future AD orders.  I don't order many food items, but I usually do purchase AD.  I've started getting my Enstrom toffee from Amazon.  Same tub, it was $17 cheaper.  I ordered milk, but didn't see dark or combo on Amazon.
