Copper colored pans (LOL)

[ Edited ]

See we got a lot of copper colored pots and pans coming out on Sunday.

I got a  copper colored skillet I bought at a kitchen store while on vacation. It's OK, cleans up well, etc.   Think I would buy more of it.

I think it is more approprite to say that there will be copper-colored cookware on Sunday.

Copper Chef cookware is simply cheap aluminum cookware which is copper-colored.  While there is a little bit of copper in the pan, it is not enough to enhance the performance.  It is simply a way to convince people t buy this cookware because they confuse it with actual copper cookware which would cst hundreds of dollars for the same-size pan.

The pans may indeed work well for most people, but I think it is disengenuous for the manufacturer to call them copper.

Did you see my post on the Woot home special.  They look a bit more resonably priced for copper color pans.  I have a couple orgrenics that I only use for certain things (scrambled eggs and fried potatoes), otherwise I use stainless or cast iron.

I have awful luck with Stainless fry pans. I love the pots, but, how Wolfgang frys chicken in those sticky skillets I can't do it. You have to keep adding oil or lard that you don't want in first place, but, it still sticks and don't want to fry on low, low heat take forever. I just stick with stainless pots.

Do you know if there will be pots and pans other than the original seen on tv one?  If so they aren't mentioned in the promo.  Just curious. I have one copper skillet that I was given recently, but haven't used it yet.  It's not a true copper piece - just like the ones on t.v.  I would be interested if there were actually pots.

You need to preheat them correctly. Heat the pan dry, add a small amount of oil and let it get hot. Then add the food, preferably don't put cold food in a hot pan. Don't try and move the food around, when it's browned it will naturally release.

Think I"ll type in 'copper chef' and see what all is available. This pan would be good for quick batches of fish and frys and my husbands tater tots.
