I bought the TSV a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! However, after only using it 5 times, the coating is coming off of the bottom. Anyone else have this happen?
I threw out the box so returning it isn't an option.

You can pack it up in another box. Defective is defective. I have something going on with the drawer. Actually it may be the coating. Mine is the first one that came out. It hasn't been used a ton.

I agree, the non-stick coating is not very thick or durable, and the more it sticks, the harder I need to scrub to get it clean.
My solution is to buy pre-cut parchment paper rounds the right size for my air fryer, with holes punched in them. They're meant for steaming, I think, but they do a fabulous job of keeping the basket intact and they don't block the air flow because of the perforations. I think I got this idea from someone else on one of these boards--not sure. Foods that release water or grease still get the air fryer dirty, but nothing sticks to the parchment paper, so it's really easy to clean.
It might also prolong the life of your air fryer now that it's already peeling. It shouldn't do that, of course, but it probably isn't actually defective--just bargain priced quality.

Has it affected the performance or function of your air fryer?

I have had mine over a year and have never had it to peel, Just wondering ,how are you washing it? I use a scrub daddy,on all my dishes, and on this basket, and it looks as new as when I got it.I also use Palmolive dish soap, and I haven't had this problem. I also wait till it cools before I put it in the water. Hope you can get an answer for this. I also use the parchment papers. I have a 2.4quart, and buy the parchment from Amazon, the 6 size you get 500.

I wash my NuWave by hand, no dish washing. Read directions and don't scrape hard with metal utensils.

I have a 5.3Qt cooks essentials air fryer. a couple of months after using the non- stick surface flaked off. I was really gentle with the cleaning of it too. I contacted QVC they said there wasn't any left so they couldn't exchange it. They gave me the number to cooks essentials customer service. The only thing they could do for me was to sell me another basket. I liked the air fryer so I thought maybe it was just a one-time problem. WELL... i ordered another basket from cooks essentials paid another $30 for it making the air fryer now costing me approx $145.Shortly after using the new basket the exact same thing happened! I DO NOT want non stick flakes in my food! Ridiculous you pay so much for an appliance and even with proper care and use, as instructed you can't use it without worrying over food contamination. I am going to try lining it with aluminum foil but I shouldn't have to. I always thought cooks essentials was represented as a good brand. But after my experience with this air fryer, I will think twice and read all reviews prior to purchasing another item from that company!
