Re: Cooks Essentials Air Fryer TSV - How Is It Working For You?

It's still annoying putting the basket in-esp. when you want to open it to shake around the food-really-it should not be this hard-it's absolutely ridiculous.

I'm also dreading trying to seperate the baskets again............

It's monster size compared to my 3.5 qt chef ming one-we'll see-we have till the end of january.

I won't keep anything that annoys me this much.

Re: Cooks Essentials Air Fryer TSV - How Is It Working For You?

I ordered it in turquoise and it was on advance order, it finally shipped today.   Iam worried about that basket/drawer issue.  I am very excited to try my new gadget in a few days.  I hope I like it as much as all the hype about it.

Re: Cooks Essentials Air Fryer TSV - How Is It Working For You?

Made wings in the air fryer yesterday. They were Yum!!!. I bought a bag of frozen wings that I thawed & sprinkled with a spice mixture we mixed up called Memphis Rub. Cooked 15 mins on one side & a little less then 15 mins on the other side. I cooked all the drummies in one batch & all the wings in one batch instead of putting them on top of each other. I like them crispy.

I'm going to re-heat leftovers & toss in some bbq sauce.

Oh @Nightowlz I am so glad your wings came out so well.  They certainly look delicious!  My first try with my air fryer was wings as well.  Thank goodness I only bought a small package as I ate them all in one sitting . . . Smiley Happy

Re: Cooks Essentials Air Fryer TSV - How Is It Working For You?

After all the problems with the Cooks Essentials Air Fryer, I switched over to th Evine channel and saw the one Paula Deen had and bought it.  She said she at first had the 3.5 and customers wanted the larger 5.3, with some added features, a warming feature, a higher temperature and a longer cooking time.  Her smaller one was for only 30 minutes and she bumped it up to an hour.  I watched closely as she cooked a turkey breast, wings, etc. and was very impressed.  This one had a one year warranty and I liked that.part very much.  I am doing two turkey breasts for Thanksgiving, so doing one in the oven and one in the air fryer.  My only problem so far is Paula's air fryer doesn't arrive until the day before Thanksgiving, so I won't have much time to practice.  Another thing I liked was she said the profile on this larger fryer was the same size as her smaller one.  That was a big plus.  Wish me luck.

@Poshparis I so hope you are happy with this air fryer as I was impressed with the upgrades and changes Paula made on this new version.  I have a small, Cook's Companion one and just love it and they stand behind their warranty with no hassle at all.

I hope you and your family have a great and delicious Thanksgiving!

@momtochloe They were really good. Hard to believe you can get crispy wings in less then 30 mins.

I also have the small air fryer. I think I made shrimp in both size air fryers 1st.

We are going to do a 6 lb bone in turkey breast I picked up at Aldi's today. Wish me luck. Hope it turns out good.

Made some homemade buttermilk bread yesterday so I'm going to eat a turkey sandwich.
