Oh wow! That just doesn't make any sense at all.
That would definitely be a deal-breaker for me. I hope they make that fact very clear so that people know what they're buying.

yeah, that reeked. I bought a small deep fryer one time like that you couldn't take out the bowl that you had just fixed french fries, onion rings, fish.
I gave it to Goodwill

Aside from the poor design for cleaning the machine after use, it makes less than a quart of ice cream. That would be fine for somone like me who lives alone, or for 2 people but what do you do if you have several people in the family? What do you do if you have guests and want to serve ice cream? This is too small. When viewing the video, I heard Meredith say it takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours to make the ice cream. Depending on the price, I might purchase it as it would be the right size for me but I want see it presented again. Perhaps they tweaked it a bit. It would be nice if they offered several sizes. Does anyone recall the price? Thanks so much, docsgirl

@noodleann wrote:I am tempted, too. I read the piece in the Insider last night and found it really appealing. But I have a very old Vitamix and am trying to hew to the maxim that "I have everything I need already, I just have to find it and use it." So before I succumb to that neat machine, I've promised myself I'd dig out the Vita Mix and make some ice and make a couple of batches of ice cream or frozen yogurt.
The only negative I saw were the colors, which were vile. White is the only one I'd order, and if that's out, I'd pass. Why they didn't include black and red, I'd love to know.
FYI. I froze fat free half & half in my ice cube trays and our ice cream was fantastic. Enjoy
