Colorado Peaches Finally

I have been waiting all summer for the peaches to come to our area. I don't know why so slow getting here this year. Just bought 2 cases. Yum so good. Wish more were ready to eat. DH wants some peach cobbler. He will have to wait a little longer until they ripen. I have 110 peaches on my dining room table. LOL!!!! Do you think putting them on some towels on my table will be ok until they ripen? Years ago when I was younger & did not know any better we bought some on the way back home from a trip & put them in a box & covered with newspaper {#emotions_dlg.huh} & they were really ripe when we got home.
