In the South, we love bread pudding. Here's my recipe for Coconut Bread Pudding made using glazed donuts.

Let me know if you have questions. Also, if you try it and enjoy it, let me know that as well.

- Box of glazed donuts (12 donuts)

- Loaf of French bread

- 6 eggs

- 2 cups heavy (whipping) cream

- 1.5 tsp. Vanilla

- 1 cup shredded coconut

- 1 can coconut cream

- Stick of butter

- Sugar (or splenda, equal) to taste

- Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

-In a baking dish, layer broken up donuts and cubed French bread

-Pour can of coconut cream over the bread/donuts

-In a mixing bowl, beat eggs and add heavy cream, vanilla, and coconut.

-Add sugar (or your choice of sweetener) to taste

-Pour this mixture over the bread. Attempt to “wet” all of the bread without the bread and donuts “floating.” Some bread will be above the liquid but make sure that it is wet.

-Sprinkle granulated sugar over the top

-Sprinkle cinnamon on the top

-Cut pads of butter and lay on the top

-Bake in the oven at 350 for approximately 30 minutes

-While still hot from the oven, sprinkle a little more sugar on top

**Note – of course you can omit the coconut, if you wish
