@Happy2BHere

This also works well with tea stains.

As long as the tomato stain is just from storing sauce in the plastic bowl, filling the bowl with water and a bit of bleach and letting it sit several hours may remove the stain.

If you made the mistake of heating spaghetti sauce in that bowl, then the stain will probably be there when you toss the bowl.

Regardless of what is said when this brand is advertised, I do not agree with using these bowls in the microwave or using an electric mixer in them, as heat will damage the inside of the bowl, and the beaters from a mixer will leave permanent scratches.

I spray clorox in fill with water and leave awhile. will come out white. Also have their mixing bowl, been using it for probably 4 years never had a scrath on it

You probably won't be able t remove those stains.  Use glass containers.  LocknLock is not as wonderful as they claim.

Agree.  That's why I don't use Lock n Lock any more.  I make spaghetti often and never could get those stains out.  Also those containers/pitchers for drinks in the fridge.  That plastic sealer inside the lid never got clean either.

I just prevent stains from happening by lining the container with plastic wrap.

I've found that it's impossible to remove some stains, especially if microwave usage has degraded the plastic material. And I really have an issue with "product ambassadors" and show hosts never, ever  addressing these issues during presentations. I also find that the locking tabs tend to snap and break off of the bowl lids, and your left with a bowl that no longer has a watertight/airtight seal. Truth in advertising is important to me, and if you can't be honest, I won't by your product in the future.

Set the container out in the sun for a day or so. I have removed tomato based stains from plastics and clothing many times with this simple method. To prevent the stain in the future spray the container with Pam before putting in the tomato based food.

I've never been able to removed those stains.  I started lining the container with clear plastic wrap when I store spaghetti sauce.

Since I bought Pyrex Snapware, I haven't had that problem. I don't remember staining my Lock n Lock. But I remember staining my Tupperware numerous times. I would put my Tupperware in the dishwasher and the dishwasher got rid of the stains.

I ended up putting everything in the dishwasher to get it clean.

@drizzellla Pyrex snapware is the best thing going!  It's glass and works great.  I get the sets from Costco and love love love them!

Here's what works for me. Let the L&L sit in the sink with a combo of warm water and Dawn (blue) dish detergent. Then put it in the dishwasher the next time you run it. Now, if the spaghetti sauce has pitted the L&L you're not going to get that stain removed. I have found that the pitting I get is when I put somethin too hot in the cotainer after cooking.
