Use a bigger pan!  Yes, it works!

I also found that wiping cool spatters with Charmin soaks it up easier and better.  Wet towels and spatters do not mix!

I seldom fry foods but, when I do, I use a splatter guard and then put it in the dishwasher  Actually, the splatter guard lives in the dishwasher, which is right next to the stove. I just pull it out when needed and it takes up very little space behind the dinner plates in the dishwasher. When needed, I use Weiman Cook Top Stove Cleaner to wipe off the stove top.

Uhoh, @Venezia.  Mine never cooks a thing.  He's more the grab and go type but he's also the cleaner.  I cook, he cleans up - that's our system.

Sorry but I would NEVER put paper towels so close to a hot burner! Perhaps just put the lid on the pan to prevent grease spatter.

@ID2   I NEVER use "dry" towels.  They are ALWAYS damp/wet.  When done cooking, wipe the tiny exposed spot(s) & trash.  Splatter grease DOES NOT touch the stove top, ever.   Besides, the towels are not near the electric burners as they sit up from the stove.

As stated previously, lids do not work for me when I have to stir and/or flip.

If I had a gas stove I would probably use the splatter thingie a few have mentioned here.

I've been using these from Dollar Tree for years. They're great for sauce, too.

After I finish frying something, I use a paper towel with a tong to wipe the pan out.

Then it is not so greasy/messy  when I  wash the pan.

When I needed a new fridge a couple of years ago I took compartments out from the old fridge and use them to put things in that might spill or leak onto shelving in the new fridge.

So you waste 4 sheets of paper toweling and even though  it's an electric stove that creates a fire hazard.

Re: 👩🏽‍🍳 Cleaning Kitchen Hacks 👩🏽‍🍳

I'm short and shrinking in height only!..I put my mixing bowl in the sink to mix things..splatter on goes in the sink and it's easy for me to use.

I don't fry many things..but when I do.. I use a deeper pan or pot..less mess on the stove top.

When I got a new fridge..I kept all the clear "drawers"...I use them in my pantry to hold items that don't "stand" up well and I can see what I have.
